Best. Birthday. Ever.

I know I know, videos. They are a curse!
But I think not sharing this would make me the devil. It’s a lousy time of year, spring is taking FOREVER to get here, and it seems everywhere we turn there are just spoiled brats, jerks, and morons filling up the internet.
So it’s a real joy for me to be able to log in here and post this. Consider your day BRIGHTENED.
EDIT: For you guys asking, I guess he’d asked for an Xbox and his parents, to keep it a secret, told him money was “tight” and maybe they’d be able to rent one some weekend. Hence his shock and excitement. Also, I guess he broke his collarbone for his last birthday (kids do this) and that’s why his not being in the hospital is so cool. He does not have a terminal illness, don’t cry.

I am just blown away by the gratitude of that kid. It almost made me cry. I don’t even know how I ended up on this blog. but thanks.
that was sweet. i’m glad there are kids out there that know a good thing when they see it.
what was it? i cant see the video =(
He got a brand new X360 AND the Halo 3 Legendary Edition?
DAAAAANNNNGGGGG!!!!!
Someone BETTER be grateful!
And apparently, he’s “thrilled”.
And I’m jealous.
Halo 3 gift basket: $700
Having your child weep with happiness: Priceless
What a cute kid… I’m actually sitting here with a tear in my eye!
What was that about being in the hospital all the time though? Is he sick I wonder???
sooo freakin’ sweet, just beautiful : )
Oh, my! I cried like a baby.
What a sweet kid! And parents too of course.
I don’t know, I guess I remember what it was like to get a present that I wanted and get really excited. I’m a little sad that the kid’s life is completely changed because he got an X-box. That seems kind of, I don’t know, just sad I guess. A bike, a chemistry set, a puppy, an instrument, those are the kinds of things a kid should be so excited they cry about it.
got a little tear in the old eye here.
did you buy it? … we can keep it…
Sweet kids, sweet family.
I grew up in a family where money was very tight, before the days of credit cards. Getting something big for Christmas or a birthday was just amazing, because you knew how much scrimping it took for my parents to save it up. It was really cool for the kid to ask how they managed to afford it and be told “we saved.” That’s a great life lesson, vs. just charging and hoping…
“i’m thrilled”. that kid is officially the sweetest most grateful child ever. this puts every single screaming (for joy) present unboxing video to SHAME. thank you for posting this karen, it did brighten my day
I watched it three times and I cried three times.
*sniffs*
Thank you for sharing this video
