3D Images Without the Glasses!
June 15th, 2007 by Bunk Strutts
The trick to viewing is to look at the two images, cross your eyes until you see three, and bring the middle one into focus. Once you get the focus, lean back. The “eeew” factor is pretty good.

More excellent photography and cross-eye-3D images are at Genes Digest. via haha.nu

I don’t get it? cross your eyes until you see three? How can you see tree?
YUM! BUGS!

It takes a little practice, but once you get it, it’s easy. Get a piece of paper, put two black dots on it about an inch or so apart. Cross your eyes slightly, and you’ll see three. (If you see four dots, you’re crossing your eyes too much, or you’re too close to the image.) The dot in the middle should appear sharp and in focus.
The 3D effect happens when your right eye focuses on the left image, and your left eye focuses on the one on the right. All in eye-muscle control.
This is not like the opposite illusion, where you look PAST the image. Those are really annoying.
Robby, I did best with it when I got about 12 inches from the screen.
These insects look very appetizing, but I better preffer meat to insects.
