The Skiing Ostrich

The snow on the slopes may be melting, but this ostrich plans to ski until there’s nothing left:

I wonder how they train ostriches to ski? I’ve actually been told this is part of an advertisement for a Japanese railway system (which, of course, makes perfect sense).

Very well made but it looks fake to me.
As for the railway system analogy, of course it’s obvious… if you’re Japanese maybe
Doesn’t quite feel right, eh…?

Looks like there is a skier in the ostrich suit facing backward, and skiing backward (look at the direction of the boots). Notice when he (she?) spins around. The knees look impossibly knobby and skinny for a human, but there may be stuffing about the knees to enhance the illusion.
The movements of the head are a bit puzzling, perhaps CG-enhanced. Either way, hilarious and a great illusion.
