Great Prank to Help Feed the Homeless
February 25th, 2007 by Anita Bath
It’s pretty rare to find a prank that actually helps someone, particularly the homeless. I thought the following video was both funny and touching. If you’re looking to pull off a prank and feel good about it, this may be the inspiration you need:

Now imagine if every restaurant gave 2 sandwiches per day to those in need …

Tom Mabe pranks telemarketers, too, and has a CD out or his greatest “hits.” Some disgusting stuff, but mostly PG-13 rated at worst.
Keep in mind that impersonating an officer is a felony.
Tom Mabe makes enough money that he could have bought the sandwiches himself. Instead he conned the restaurant, which is probably also illegal. I hope he donates the money he makes off of stunts like this to charity. It might keep him out of jail.
Thats really cool…
However..
My daughter came out of McD’s once with 2 hamburgers (there was a buy one get one free offer) and she offered one to a homeless person but he was so rude, refusing the burger saying he wanted money!
Can’t please everyone!
Nice. I’ve got to do that: work undercover as a homeless person near a restaurant to get free food …
What would be even better is if that guy then went into the store and overpaid $20 for a sandwich. Because then he would also be helping the owner of a sandwich store that just got robbed.
Happy Inappropriate Card Day!
I usually give my fries (all of them, if I order fries at all) to homeless people. Not the best weight loss plan but it must be helping my cholesterol. The people love the fries every time.
While that was funny and I’m glad the homeless people got food, I too am uncomfortable with the way it was done. I would like it better if he bought food and gave it to the homeless and if the food store gave it up on their own. But nothing is perfect.
That is awesome - Bossy is not the least bit offended. In a perfect world the restaurant would offer that food on their own — but where is this perfect world and what instructions should Bossy provide MapQuest to get there?
