News Flash: School lunches come from fungus?
January 1st, 2007 by Anita Bath
How’s this for a crazy front page story … I guess my drive to work is going to be pretty easy tomorrow!

Update: Yes, this was a joke. Based on my e-mail responses (and a few comments), it seems like a couple may have fallen for it initially … probably helped that schools were actually out (but due to winter break).

Is this for real? I’m off to check Snopes on this one…
It looks like someone did some photoshopping. I’ll drive past Dulaney High to see if school is in session. But, since the annoying teens in the upstairs apartment aren’t being jackasses in the parking lot, I’m going to guess this isn’t kosher!
Besides, that doesn’t look like the banner on any local paper!
Well, judging from the fact that Anita put it under “pranks”….
Hehe … yeah, I had fun making this one
Oh, see, I didn’t even look at the tag, however, I did think she was telling the truth because every school I’ve driven past today has had empty parking lots!
Just a tip for the future, Anita, use anti-aliasing on your fonts. It’s quite obvious that this is done on a computer, because the text has too many sharp edges.
